An Epic student reflects on the diverse array of talent present at this year's Epic's Got Talent & Art Show.
Every year, Epic Charter Schools brings together students willing to step out of their comfort zones and share what they love at Epic's Got Talent & Art Show.
A talent show isn’t just about talent, it’s also about taking initiative and having courage. Our very own Epic’s Got Talent & Art show is a great way for students to come out of their shell and show off their strengths and gifts.
“We had over 100 people audition,” organizer Shannon George said.
Due to space and time limitations, only certain acts were chosen to perform. It took courage and bravery to perform in front of a live audience and judges.
There were many incredible talents that performed for the show. Attendees saw singers, dancers, musicians, and more.
“Proactivley listening to that talent of Epic students is inspiring,” said Jeremy Irons, who helped ensure the technical aspects of the show were running smoothly.
Each performer brought something different to the stage, showing that talent comes in different shapes and forms. Each student expressed themselves in their own unique way.
Although Epic’s Got Talent was incredible, the art show was just as impressive. Epic’s own artists came together to showcase their creativity and unique abilities. There were drawings, paintings, sculptures, and even some digital art. Many of the pieces showed hours of effort, as well as patience and dedication. Each piece reflected the artist’s personality in their own way.
We had many performances, but we can’t forget our hosts. Sean Ridenour, who has been part of the magic for about three years, and Epic News Network’s Harrison Favero, our new host, helped make the show even more memorable.
George and her crew also played a big part in the talent show. They set up the entire event, making sure every student had the support they needed to perform.
“It took us six months to organize this event,’ George said. The talent show wouldn’t have been possible without Epic’s incredible staff.
Overall, Epic’s Got Talent & Art Show was more than just a performance, it was a celebration of creativity, courage and hard work. From the performers on stage to the artists, hosts and staff behind the scenes, everyone played a role in making the event unforgettable. Epic’s Got Talent & Art Show was a night full of creativity, effort and unforgettable moments that highlighted the talents of every student involved. It brought out the best in every student who attended.
